Sudoku for kids — quick questions
- What age is sudoku for kids good for?
- Many children enjoy 4×4 and picture sudoku from around age 4–6, then grow into 6×6 as they get more confident. There's no rush — start small and let it build.
- Does my child need to read numbers to play?
- Not for picture sudoku — it uses friendly animals instead of digits, so pre-readers can play. The 4×4 and 6×6 grids use the numbers 1 to 4 and 1 to 6.
- How do you play sudoku for kids?
- Tap a square, then tap a number or animal to place it. Fill the grid so every row, column and box has each one exactly once. Tap a square again to clear it.
